Mother of Monsters: DnD 5E adventure inspired by Greek myths

Print Books on the way!

Hi all,

We are excited and delighted to report that almost all print books for this Kickstarter are now on the way! 

• The core books of Stone Mother's Assault and the Mother of Monsters Player's Guide/GM's Guide are print-on-demand books and orders have been submitted to the printer. They are currently estimating about a 3 to 4-week lag between orders and books actually shipping, so hopefully they'll start sending them out in late January. The add-on Epic Treasures book will be shipping out with those books.
• Copies of Sea Monsters and the Pirate Campaign Compendium are shipping out directly from LG central (see below) via USPS and UPS, with some international orders being sent out via Amazon. Those of you who ordered those books will likely get those sooner than the core Kickstarter books. 
• We have a small number of print book backers for whom we're still missing your mailing address. If we don't have that, we can't get you your books! Please double check Backerkit and make sure you've completed your survey and filled in your information. I've emailed most of the folks with missing info directly, but in case I missed you it's worth taking a minute to verify your info is on file!

Problem with shipping charges!

Hi all, 

I just got home and it seems that there is a problem with the shipping profiles where people in the USA are getting charged $40 or more for shipping. That's definitely an error, and that's why Backerkit has the "smoke test" process so we can send out the surveys to a small number of backers (5% of the total group) and we can see whether there are any errors in the survey.

In this case, obviously there is a problem with the shipping. Most USA backer shipping should be in the $5-7 range for the two base print pledges. 

I'm in touch with Backerkit to have them check the shipping profile and we'll get it sorted out before we sent out the full survey. I'll dig into the Backerkit setup from my end and see if I can track down the glitch.  Backerkit closes in about 10 minutes so they may not be able to do any support tonight. I'll see what I can do but it might be until tomorrow when they reopen that we can get the glitch fixed.

Thanks for your patience and rest assured that we are not trying to charge $40 shipping for domestic orders. 

• EDIT: It looks like the problem was simply that "United States of America" never got entered as a specific country in the shipping profiles for the base pledges. It was added for all of the add-on pledges, but not for the "base pledge level shipping" for the two print pledges (adventure only, and adventure + player/GM guide). I've also made sure to add in Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam, since those also use domestic shipping rates. 
• If you've received the Smoke Test survey, please go back in and check and see if the shipping is reset to the proper level. If it's not, let us know and we'll follow through with Backerkit in the morning to see if anything further needs to be fixed with tech support.

Hi all,

We have hammered out the backer survey with Backerkit and have sent out the "smoke test" - basically a limited pledge survey that goes out to 5% of our backers just to make sure that everything is working correctly as far as calculating shipping, allowing add-on pledges, and so on. If you are one of the backers that receives your survey, please respond ASAP even if you end up choosing not to add anything to your original pledge, just so we can confirm things are A-OK. Assuming no glitches show themselves, we'll get the surveys sent out to everyone else tomorrow! 

We've added a few things to the pledge manager (in addition to the add-ons listed in the Kickstarter), which are VTT resources for Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, and Shard VTT for the Sea Monsters and Epic Treasures books, including a VTT Token Pack for Sea Monsters. If you use one of those VTTs and would like to add content for your game, just add those items to your pledge and we'll distribute them soon! 

If you have ordered print products, please make sure to include your mailing address! We are looking forward to getting your books mailed out ASAP, with the first batch hopefully shipping (or being submitted to the printer for shipment directly from them) during the week between Christmas and New Year's, so the sooner you get us your info the sooner we can start getting your books headed your way! 

Updated Player's Guide

We also just uploaded an updated Mother of Monsters Player's Guide to DrivethruRPG this morning. No major changes, just a couple of typos that Adrian caught and wanted to correct. You can download the updated file there, and once we lock in Backerkit surveys you'll be able to download your files here too.

Hello backers,

First let me thank you wonderful people for making my multi-year labor of love become a reality. I really hope you enjoy what I created for you. I always love to hear feedback. It’s how we grow. Once the products are up for sale, I would really love to hear your thoughts in the reviews.

All three PDFs are out now. They’ve gone through some recent revisions, so please make sure you have the latest versions. I apologize for this, but this is my first time. I promise I’ll get better at it. The printed versions have been submitted but we need to have proofs printed, and printing is taking a long time now days. I was also informed that we are hoping to have the backer kit ready by this Friday. 

A special thanks out to Legendary Games for taking on my project and helping me along, my friends in Bay Area Gamer’s Guide for being my advisors, my playtesters, Robert Adducci for helping me out in the beginning with his valuable knowledge and my artist, especially Karen Petrasko who helped me develop my digital art.

New files uploaded!

Hi all,

I uploaded a new set of files for all three books on DrivethruRPG last night but forgot to send a Kickstarter update to alert you to the fact that they are there! We also are pretty sure we've fixed the resolution problem that some of you had noticed with the files. 

Head on over to the links previously sent and you should hopefully be able to download all three files. They should be in your downloads there on Drivethru.

I've also uploaded the updated files to our Dropbox folder, so you can download them from there as well! 

We are close to submitting the print files for final approvals, and we also are getting our backer survey set up too, where you'll be able to put in your mailing address and select any add-ons you'd like to include with your pledge. Once everything is ready to go, we'll start getting books sent out to everyone!
