Download issues in process!
almost 3 years ago – Sat, Nov 27, 2021 at 06:27:21 PM

Hi all,

Quick hit list for the weekend!

  • Apologies for the weird download glitches. We have submitted a tech support request with DrivethruRPG so we'll get things sorted on that side probably when they are back in the office on Monday. Meanwhile, the Dropbox links we sent out via Kickstarter messenger seem to have worked for most people, though I've had a few messages from people who have been having problems.
  • Let us know if you are still unable to get your files. Meanwhile, we are getting our backer survey ready, and you should be able to download your files directly from that app as well.
  • There was a weird resolution setting glitch with the download files, so some of the art came out pixelated. We're getting that sorted out and will be posting up a fixed file next week.
  • Adrian has created a bit of new art and some new magic items to include in the books, so there'll be some bonus content in the final files too!

Thanks for your support of this terrific project! We appreciate all of your amazing contributions and look forward to getting your final files up and out and getting your print books rolling soon!

Dropbox folders created for downloads!
almost 3 years ago – Wed, Nov 24, 2021 at 09:51:56 PM

Hi all,

I've heard some folks are still running into download issues on DrivethruRPG, and given that their offices are already closed (and will be for the rest of the week due to Thanksgiving), while I've submitted a tech support request I doubt we'll hear back until Monday. For that reason, I've set up a Dropbox folder just for you to download your items. The link was sent out via Kickstarter messenger, so you can use that link to download your files there!

NOTE: If you've already successfully downloaded your files from DrivethruRPG, please do not re-download them here, as Dropbox has bandwidth limits on how much data can be downloaded within a 24-hour period.

Thanks for your support and hope you have a Legendary weekend!

Downloading from DrivethruRPG
almost 3 years ago – Wed, Nov 24, 2021 at 09:51:08 PM

Hi all,

Adrian let me know that people have been having trouble downloading from DrivethruRPG, and we have run into that issue before, but in almost all cases the solution was simple: Make sure you are fully logged in on DrivethruRPG.

  • In their system, you used to stay logged in over long periods, but they updated their site protocols earlier this year, and you now get automatically logged out after a certain period of inactivity. Before trying to download anything from your list, double check to make sure that you are currently logged in.
  • The second most common issue was for people who use a different email for their Kickstarter pledge than they use at DrivethruRPG. All of the links we sent out went to the emails you entered for Kickstarter. If your Drivethru account uses a different email, you'll need to let us know so we can update that in the report spreadsheet.

If you have checked both of those items so you are already logged in and it's the same email address as you use on Kickstarter and you are still having issues with downloads, let me know and I'll check in with the tech team at DTRPG!

Maybe it's appropriate that this Greek mythology epic was like 300 + 300 (+1)

Thank you all so much for your fantastic support of this project, with a special tip of the cap to Elliot as backer #600 and then, with just 17 seconds left Ron R jumped in as our final backer #601!

  • I'll be downloading the backer lists shortly and sending out the links for your PDFs via DrivethruRPG! As a matter of good practice, a thousand-plus eyes are always better than a few pairs, so we always give a week or so for people to read and digest before we push on with print setup to make sure we can fix any issues that slipped past us but that you catch. If you spot a typo or missing text or anything else let us know in the comments and we'll get it fixed up ASAP!
  • The initial Kickstarter report only gives us pledge levels, so PDFs for add-ons will have to wait a bit until we get the full download. We'll be sending out the three Mother of Monsters PDFs tonight and once we get the final numbers for the add-ons we'll get those going as well!
  • We'll be setting up the Backerkit pledge manager soon. It usually is ready to send out about two weeks after the Kickstarter ends, to give KS time to process all cards and send reports. Shipping will be collected at that point, and you'll also have the opportunity to add more items that you may have missed during the KS or needed to wait for another payday.

Thanks once again for each and every one of you, and we pray you have a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you're in the USA) or just a fantastic rest of November with family and friends! PDFs incoming shortly!

$30,000 and counting!!! And another great Greek project ending soon!
almost 3 years ago – Wed, Nov 24, 2021 at 06:38:59 PM

As ever, we are so thankful for your incredible support of this project and we look forward to a fantastic finale today! Special thanks to backer eslizogato for pushing us over the $30,000 mark, but our wonderful thanks to everyone who has been a part of this effort! Adrian Arduini has been working hard on this passion project the last several years and we are excited and delighted that you have helped make this amazing adventure saga and setting for epic heroes come to life!

One thing we also love doing is highlighting other cool projects out there, and as many of you know we created our 112-page Asian Monsters bestiaryearlier this year, featuring contributions from over a dozen Asian-American authors and artists with roots in 8 countries. Anthony Christou is a talented 5E designer and a Greek Cypriot who started his own Luminous Ages project delving into the Greek mythology of his heritage, and he has continued building his portfolio of themed bestiaries since then. His current project below is on Kickstarter now and ends in just 3 days, and in the spirit of highlighting the influences of Ancient Greece in Mother of Monsters we definitely wanted to send a shout-out to this exciting project!

A bodacious bestiary, cool coins, STL minis, and more!

The Bai Ze & Book of Monsters is a 5E RPG Campaign & Comic book from Luminous Ages! Luminous Ages has always been highly influenced by many real-world cultures and mythologies. The Bai Ze and the Book of Monsters is no exception with many of the monsters, races, and NPCs inspired by Chinese Mythology. The book of monsters has been stolen by the villains of the Luminous Ages world from the Yellow Emperor (Huang Di) and the Bai Ze a goat-like lion creature. You are on the quest to discover where the book has gone and why so many monsters have been unleashed upon Ekratoria the Planet in the Luminous Ages world. Your heroes from other campaigns can portal to Ekratoria and join in on the quest at any level they are! Can you gain possession of the Book of Monsters in time and restore balance to Ekratoria & Earth?
